Save specific time step results and resume computation after some days
I would like to describe what I want to ask:
When I run a transient simulation (time dependent), COMSOL save all of the variable results in computer memory. In this way, the computation is very fast but the memory requirement is very large. After the computation, if I want to save the result, the variable values at all the time steps are saved, which makes the file very huge (several gigabytes). If I want to save result at only one specific time step (or the last one), I found that I can use "export post processing" function. However, after some days when the case is re-loaded and I want to continue the computation from the last step, I cannot find an option to initialize the domain from saved result. I found an option to store result when the case is in memory and continue to run based on the stored result, but how to do this if the software is restarted? I used to use CFD software, like Fluent, CFDRC... and all of them have the function to continue a run. Does somebody have this experience?
