Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics 4

This course is an introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics and includes presentations, step-by-step examples using a variety of models, and hands-on experience with the software. The goal is to immerse you in the main aspects of the COMSOL environment and help you get familiar with many of the commands accessible from the COMSOL Desktop. For experienced COMSOL users, it is also an excellent opportunity to learn how to use the new interface.

The course introduces you to these topics:

The COMSOL 4 graphical user interface
Coupled multiphysics problems
Creating geometries in 2D and 3D
Importing CAD drawings
Implementing strategies for efficient generation of computational meshes
Visualization of results
Parameterization of the geometry and variables
How to implement material properties as analytical expressions, functions, or measured data

Recommended Background

This course is suitable for anyone with an engineering, physics, or science background. No previous experience with COMSOL Multiphysics is required.

Fredrik Nääs
COMSOL AB

Fredrik Nääs has an MSc. in engineering physics from Luleå University of Technology, specializing in engineering mechanics. He is a technical sales and support engineer at COMSOL.

Time

The hours for all COMSOL courses are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Registration starts at 8:30 am.

Fee

5950 SEK.- per person. The course fee includes training materials, lunch, and refreshments.
