Two electrode electrochemical impedance spectrocopy

I am simulating the EIS of Interdigitated electrodes (IDEs). From the COMSOL archieve I found a 1D (https://www.comsol.com/model/electrochemical-impedance-spectroscopy-14431) model of three electrode system. In this model, the impedance is analyzed on one electrode, I was wondering how to add a second electrode and then measure impedance between two electrodes. When adding second electrode what potential should be defined on that electrode?
