TransTech Systems, Inc. becomes COMSOL Certified Consultant

BURLINGTON, MA (February 15, 2008) – COMSOL, Inc., developer of the industry-leading COMSOL modeling environment for multiphysics simulation, is happy to welcome TransTech Systems, Inc. as a COMSOL Certified Consultant. TransTech Systems key competence focuses on sensor technology in critical measurement applications. As a COMSOL Certified Consultant, TransTech Systems will provide high-tech services for clients with applications within electromagnetics and multiphysics.

TransTech has been a frequent presenter and participant in COMSOL sponsored workshops and conferences. The Certified Consultant Group at TransTech is lead by Ronald Gamache. Mr. Gamache has over thirty-five years of experience in advanced sensing, measurement and control technologies. At TransTech, he is responsible for the development of electromagnetic sensing solutions to material characterization problems. "By becoming a certified COMSOL consultant we will provide turnkey solutions for engineers in private, commercial and government organizations based on our unique expertise in complex electromagnetic sensing and multiphysics modeling," explains Gamache.

Among many other applications, TransTech R&D includes specialists in:

The COMSOL Certified Consultant Group falls under the umbrella of the TransTech R&D division. This division is made up of innovative problem solvers, specifically in determining the physical characteristics of materials as diverse as pavement, soil, food and even human tissue. As authorities in measuring properties of dielectric materials plus the volumetric density and moisture content of substrates, they utilize advanced impedance spectroscopy and tomography techniques, electromagnetic sensor design, finite element modeling, sophisticated data acquisition and signal processing. The collective expertise of the COMSOL Certified Consultant Group covers a breadth of applications and has resulted in the commercialization of many patented products. “We’re delighted to partner with TransTech Systems. They extend the reach of COMSOL technology into new fields, to new customers. They are also pushing the envelope for electromagnetic simulation capabilities in COMSOL. One example is the Spice import to COMSOL that integrates finite element models with electric circuit simulation,” says Bernt Nilsson, VP of Marketing, COMSOL, Inc. To kick-off this new partnership, COMSOL and TransTech Systems will co-host two workshops on February 20, 2008 in Albany, NY. The day starts off with an introductory multiphysics workshop in the morning, followed by a specialized event focused on AC/DC and SPICE modeling in the afternoon.
