MRI and scanned data export from Mimics® to COMSOL®
Mimics is the standard for 3D image processing and editing based on scanner data. With Mimics you can export volumetric meshes that can be directly imported into COMSOL without having to do any further manipulations.
Transition from scans to instantly usable files goes in five quick steps with Mimics: create a 3D object, optimize the surface mesh, generate volume mesh, assign material properties and then export the mesh. Once the mesh is imported into COMSOL, you have all the tools available to perform FEA analyses on your scanned geometry.
Mimics can import any 2D stack of images to development 3D reconstructions from them. It can also import images from CT, TechCT, MRI and Microscopy data in a wide variety of formats, far beyond DICOM.
