KURSER

Electromagnetic modeling, AC and DC Application

Swedish version

This is a hands-on all-day course on the basics of using COMSOL Multiphysics to solve electrostatics, magnetostatics, and eddy currents problems. You will learn how to use COMSOL Multiphysics and the AC/DC Module for simulation of electrical and magnetic components as well as multiphysics simulations including heat generation due to losses.

Suggested background

The course requires only a basic knowledge of mathematical modeling and targets current and potential users of COMSOL Multiphysics and the AC/DC Module. Those new to COMSOL Multiphysics are recommended to take the Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics course and the Advanced modeling features in COMSOL Multiphysics course held before this class.

Instructor

Dr. Magnus Olsson
COMSOL AB

Magnus Olsson holds a MSc in Engineering Physics and a PhD in Plasma Physics and Fusion Research. Before joining COMSOL, he worked as a consulting specialist in electromagnetic computations for the Swedish armed forces. Since 1996 he has been working in the COMSOL team, promoting the use of advanced mathematical modeling and design methods in the industry. Today Magnus is working as the product manager of the AC/DC Module and the RF Module.

Registration fee

5,950 SEK per person.

Date and location

The one-day course meets from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Course check-in is from 8:30am. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are included.
