Keynote: Predicting Corrosion with Machine Learning and Simulation

Duration: 24:27

In his keynote presentation during the COMSOL Conference 2019 Boston, Danick Gallant of the National Research Council of Canada shares how he uses machine learning and simulation applications (distributed through executable apps compiled with COMSOL Compiler™) to predict corrosion in galvanic couples. As the automotive manufacturing industry continues to use high-strength steels, carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers, and magnesium, organizations are becoming more interested in predicting the corrosion performance of these materials in service environments.

Danick Gallant is a research officer at the National Research Council of Canada, where he specializes in automotive corrosion challenges.
