Crack propagation in brittle materials can also be modeled in COMSOL Multiphysics® by combining the phase field framework with the finite element method, which will be demonstrated in this webinar.

Gabriel Hattori da Silva is an applications engineer at COMSOL. He obtained his BSc and MSc from the University of Campinas and PhD on numerical methods for damage identification from the University of Seville. He also worked at Durham University and the University of Cambridge on numerical models for fracture mechanics.
