Query regarding deformed geometry

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am modelling the hydrolytic degradation of a polymeric microneedle inside the skin. The surface degradation of the microneedle occurs from water present in the skin. As the needle degrades, the boundary between the microneedle and skin keeps on moving with time as shown in the screenshot attached. The skin is divided into two layers i.e. stratum corneum and viable epidermis. The model is 2D axis-symmetric. I am having a problem in putting a deformed geometry condition as it runs for the initial few seconds and then shows the error of "Repeated error test failures. May have reached a singularity. Time: 22.227950699138002 s.The last time step is not converged." Please have a look and tell me where I am going wrong in implementing the deformed geometry. I tried to run with different velocities and meshing but still not able to implement it. Thanks in advance
