Error in using the none unit system while using extmat.

As soon as I change the units in COMSOL from SI to none, I get the following error:

Error in multiphysics compilation. Tensor index out of bounds

I am doing a transitent study using solid mechanics interface and external material (external stress-strain relation). The model runs just fine when the unit system is SI. I have also ensured that components are using the same unit system as the global system. I think I have to make some changes in my extmat code (written in C) but am not sure what exactly might be the source of error.
