rf module: inhomogeneous meduim & eigen modes

Hi,

I am trying to see the eigenmodes and corresponding corresponding propagation constants of a rectangular waveguide filled with inhomogeneous material.

1. how do I put in the inhomogeneous medium (say I have a matrix defining the epsilon of each point)
2. how do I observe, say, the first 10 modes and corresponding propagation constants (is there any help/tutorial about this?)
